There is plenty to see in Lincoln City. Often, you can find more information by clicking the name/link.
Lincoln Cathedral - A 14th Century Norman Cathedral, one of the most spectacular in the Country. Also one of the locations in the filming of the DaVinci Code.
Lincoln Castle - Built in 1068 by William The Conqueror, on the Roman site. It is also home to one of four 1215 original editions of the Magna Carta. Lincoln Castle also stages many high profile bands.
Lincoln ghost walk - It takes you round some of the history of the Cathedral Quarter of Lincoln, giving you a taste for some of the less glamorous and less comforting aspects of Lincoln's considerable past.
Usher Gallery - With works from the likes of Turner, Stubbs and Lowry, and changing collections throughout the year, The Usher sits amongst sculptures directly under the gaze of the Cathedral.
Brayford Pool and Marina - This used to be quite a large in-land port during Roman Times, and connected the Witham to the Trent via the Roman-built Fosse Dyke. It is now home to a marina, bars and restaurants, and fronts one side of the City's relatively new University. There is a 9-screen Odeon cinema that lights up the waterfront at night.
Museum of Lincolnshire Life - The largest and most diverse community museum in the County. Here you can get a good look at how ordinary people lived over the years.
Lincoln Theatre Royal - Many famous plays are performed here, and if you are in the mood for some traditional culture, or flamboyant stage shows, look no further.
Lincoln High Street and the Strait - Lincoln's centre gets older as you go up towards the Cathedral. A good walk will take through new and old shopping areas, and up to the Castle Square. Excellent views of the City can be had from here.
Carholme Golf Course - Literally a minute's walk from the Guest House, this quality golfing establishment is perfect for a relaxing afternoon.
Hartsholme Country Park - One of the many parks to visit for a relaxing day out. Ideal if you have kids.
